PATROL DIVISION

Road Patrol falls under the Uniform Services Division and is commanded by Major Randy Evans. Road Patrol is the backbone of the Cookeville Police Department. The men and

women of road patrol are the department's most visible asset. All Road Patrol units are radio and computer dispatched and respond to but are not limited to 911 calls. Patrol units are also very proactive patrolling the city. The division is divided into three shifts: 1st shift (day), 2nd shift (afternoon) and 3rd shift (midnights). We currently have three Captains, three Lieutenants, and nine Sergeants. Each shift has a Captain, Lieutenant , three Sergeants and at full staff, a dozen Officers. Road Patrol is responsible for handling the bulk of calls for service on any given day.
